Οι we.own.the.sky επιστρέφουν στη σκηνή μετά από δύο χρόνια απουσίας και με το ολοκαίνουργιο album τους ‘In Your Absence’ στις αποσκευές τους. Πρόκειται για την τρίτη τους full-length δουλειά, και την πρώτη που κυκλοφορεί από τη βελγική dunk! records, μια από τις σημαντικότερες δισκογραφικές στον χώρο του post-rock και post-metal ήχου παγκοσμίως. Το album, που έκανε αίσθηση στα διαδικτυακά μέσα, θα πλαισιωθεί από το πρώτο ευρωπαϊκό τουρ της μπάντας, το οποίο θα καταλήξει σε μια μεγάλη γιορτή στην Αθήνα το βράδυ της 19ης Δεκεμβρίου.

Οι we.own.the.sky σχηματίστηκαν την άνοιξη του 2010, ενώ η πρώτη τους δουλειά με τίτλο “The Glass/Nails EP” κυκλοφόρησε τον Γενάρη του 2013 και γνώρισε καθολική αναγνώριση από τους fans της instrumental rock και metal μουσικής. Με εφαλτήριο τις επιρροές από το post-rock αλλά και το alternative metal, πολύ σύντομα άρχισαν να μπολιάζουν τη μουσική τους με ποικίλα ετερόκλητα στοιχεία, από ηλεκτρονική μουσική μέχρι progressive metal, σε μια διαρκή αναζήτηση του προσωπικού τους ήχου. Μετρώντας πλέον αισίως δεκαπέντε χρόνια ζωής, τέσσερις κυκλοφορίες και αναρίθμητες ζωντανές εμφανίσεις, οι we.own.the.sky δικαίως θεωρούνται από τις σημαντικότερες ελληνικές μπάντες - εκπροσώπους του post-rock/metal, αλλά και του ευρύτερου εναλλακτικού ήχου.

Την Παρασκευή 19 Δεκεμβρίου ανεβαίνουν στη σκηνή του Gazarte Ground Stage, για μια εκρηκτική και συναισθηματικά φορτισμένη βραδιά, στο μεγαλύτερο show της μέχρι τώρα καριέρας τους. Πέρα από την παρουσίαση του ‘In Your Absence’ στην ολότητά του, το setlist θα αποτελέσει και έναν φόρο τιμής στα δεκαπέντε χρόνια της μπάντας, με επιλογές από όλη την δισκογραφία της.

Τη βραδιά θα ανοίξει ο FUTUROKOMONO, το προσωπικό καλλιτεχνικό project του μουσικού παραγωγού Κώστα Ζάμπου. Έχοντας συνεργαστεί για πολλά χρόνια ως παραγωγός και
συνθέτης με δεκάδες καλλιτέχνες της ανεξάρτητης ελληνικής σκηνής όπως Sworr., Jef Maarawi, Afformance, Danai Nielsen κλπ., πλέον εξερευνεί την δική του ταυτότητα ως solo καλλιτέχνης. Από το 2024 έχει κυκλοφορήσει δέκα ανεξάρτητα κομμάτια, στα περισσότερα εκ των οποίων συνεργάζεται και πειραματίζεται μουσικά με φίλους και ανθρώπους που θαυμάζει. Ο ήχος του χαρακτηρίζεται από τη μίξη ετερόκλητων στοιχείων, συνδυάζοντας electronica, rap, ambient, post rock και alternative.
